About Me

Christian Adams, a Tampa native and graduate of Full Sail University's Dan Patrick School of Sportscasting, boasts a diverse background in both athletics and media. Starting with a strong foundation in baseball and hockey, where he excelled as an all-star during his youth, Christian pursued music during high school and enrolled as a music education major at the University of South Florida.

Despite his focus on music, Christian's unwavering passion for sports led him back to hockey, where he played for USF's inaugural second team while deciding to pursue a career in broadcasting. His career took a pivotal turn in the fall of 2020 when he joined the USPHL's Tampa Bay Juniors Hockey Club, initially handling scoreboard and public address duties before swiftly advancing to play-by-play during key league events.

Building on his broadcasting success, Christian secured the role of Director of Broadcast and Media Relations for the Tampa Bay Juniors, a position he held for two seasons. Concurrently, he coached USF's second hockey team while pursuing further education at Full Sail University.

Christian's journey continued to flourish as he joined the Tampa Bay Lightning's Blue Crew in 2022, further cementing his presence in the local sports scene. His career reached new heights in the summer of 2023 when he was appointed as the main public address announcer for the New York Yankees' Single-A Affiliate, the Tampa Tarpons. Later that year, Christian embarked on a new venture with the Bold City Battalion, an expansion franchise in the USPHL, where he spearheaded social media and broadcast initiatives and was invited to be a part of the broadcast team covering the 2024 National Championships. That summer, he returned to the Tampa Tarpons, serving as a play-by-play broadcaster and color commentator for their reinstated broadcast.

After graduation, Christian accepted a position with KJAN Radio in Atlantic, Iowa where he is currently serves as the Sports and Program Director. Providing coverage for local high school sports, Christian has been a part of over 150 broadcasts which include sports such as football, basketball, baseball, softball and volleyball. In addition to sports, he has been involved in everything needed to help a small-town station. These include advertisement sale and production, programming, staff management, scheduling, and the production of news and weather reports. Outside of work, Christian has become involved in his community by becoming a member of the Knights of Columbus to further serve his church and community. He also continues to passionately follow the NHL and the sport of hockey.
